Dining with us:
In recent times it has become fashionable for restaurants to serve only locally sourced food that is in season. We find this amusing because it’s all we have ever done. Our local suppliers include Ormsary Estate, whose beef is famous in this part of Scotland, tender lamb from Barbreck Farm, succulent pork from Teritchigan farm and fresh game stalked by a chap
called Winston Churchill.
The seafood off our shores is the best in the world, which is why most of it is transported overseas. As founder members of ‘The Seafood Trail’ this is a trend we would like to reverse and see more of it eaten here.
We have an extensive wine list of fifty bins as well as wines from Bordeaux, which I personally purchased En Primeur and they’re available to buy at very reasonable prices.
We have one menu that we serve at both lunch and dinner. Diners can chose from our lovely restaurant, friendly bar, conservatory overlooking the canal or Al Fresco. We also have a fabulous and extensive specials board which enables us to take full advantage of the local produce as it becomes available.
